Dr James Beatty
Dr James Beatty (MBChB, MMed, FC Ophth SA) is a highly experienced, Cape Town–born ophthalmic surgeon who has dedicated his career to delivering exceptional eye care.
He completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Cape Town in 1997, earned a Diploma in Ophthalmology in 2002, and completed his specialist ophthalmology training at Stellenbosch University.
In 2007, Dr Beatty graduated with a Master of Medicine (MMed) from Stellenbosch University and was admitted as a Fellow of the College of Ophthalmologists of South Africa.
Based at the Somerset Eye Centre in Somerset West, Dr Beatty pairs his extensive clinical expertise with a compassionate, patient-centered approach, ensuring every patient receives thorough, personalised care in a welcoming environment.
